Don't Be A FONZY!!!!

Finding you are holding a grudge? Someone holding one against you? What does the Bible say about that?

Don't be a Fonzy!!!! Just say it...whether to God or someone in your life....let's keep short accounts. Don't let the words get stuck in your throat. Let's practice together now....."I WAS WRONG!"

Three of the most freeing words on the planet.

I found it interesting that this scripture does not say if YOU HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST SOMEONE...but if you know someone has something against you....right or wrongly perceived...we are to go settle the matter. Trust God to help you with this process. It is not a suggestion in the bible it is a command.....let's try to be obedient. This harboring of anger or hate is likened to murder in this scripture. OUCH!

Matthew 5:21-26 (New International Version, ©2010)

Murder
21 “You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘You shall not murder,a]" [a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sisterb]" [c] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’d]" [d] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.

23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

25 “Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

What's Driving YOU?

Stopped at night at a CVS to get medicine....my mom said...look who's driving that car....I guess anyone can get a license around here!
This is DUKE his owner Mary ended up being a kindred spirit and fellow believer in Christ. What a fun trip the the pharmacy.
THIS....is Duke....

Sometimes....things are NOT what they seem...when something in your circumstance does not make sense......check with the bible....wait to allow the real situation to come to light.

Matthew 13:13
This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

Duke apparently only has a learner's permit.....Mary drove the car to the pharmacy! So see, you can't always believe what you SEE but you can always trust GOD for the truth.

Faith in Action
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

Just Thinkin',

Kathy

And a side note to those who have inquired about my recent trip to the hospital.....I am doing well...just had a little argument with Crohn's disease.......I won the discussion!
Resting and getting stronger...Praise be to God our healer and comforter.

Thanks,
Kat

What To Do In Tough Times

Pastor Jeff Schreve shared the Teachable Moments this week on the magazine. It is encouraging. Hope you like it. Cool thing about Jeff you can watch him on TBN if you can't get to church where you are. Especially with the weather the country has been experiencing.

I especially appreciated this article as I am experiencing some curve balls with health and moving in our family.

I hope you enjoy the new edition of the magazine.

We invite you to share it with your friends by email, twitter, facebook, your blogs or just tell them about the community of believers studying to apply scripture to our daily lives.

Click here to read the article, then look around the magazine.

Stop by the magazine and take our Packers/Steelers poll. Then take a look around and tell a friend. This is a coveted prize! We, as Christ followers are to keep our eye on a prize of a different kind.
Remember, we are a community of believers who desire to apply God's word to our daily lives. Let's share it with our friends.
Philippians 3:14
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus
.

To Take the Poll: click here Packers? or Steelers?

Then please share our daily devotions with your friends. Not all of our friends believe the truths found in scripture. It's time to find out why!

Just stayin' warm,

Kathy
