It's Not Polite to Point!
See...even Uncle Sam should stop pointing!
"Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself."
Galatians 6:1-3
Why is that word...GENTLENESS...such a hard concept when we talk to one another if we disagree?
I have seen so many people offended by others that in their attempt to correct a trespass or even a Perceived trespass, they blow it by using SELF righteous methods and not the method prescribed by OUR LORD in this or other scripture. CAN YOU SAY "PRIDE"? Insecurity is on the same spectrum as Pride and both are ugly. Insecurity shows up defensively at times and makes us snap at people and point a finger (and at times even "the" finger).
It is not polite to Point, so pray and only point to God for a way to restore a brother/sister. He (God) is the only one at whom our actions or words should be pointing. Then HE in turn can POINT you/me in the right direction to handle a problem.
Yes...please note...I said me included,
Just Thinkin',
